Barbara Smith, LCSW

With more than 40 years of experience as a Licensed Certified Social Worker, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wonderfully diverse range of clients, ages, and life situations. My practice is built on a foundation of empathy, deep listening, and a bit of humor, keeping my approach to both therapy and life warm and easy-going. While I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and client-centered techniques, I believe therapy is never one-size-fits-all and tailor my care to who you are.

Over the decades, I have developed vast experience in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and severe mental health or personality disorders. I am also deeply familiar with supporting clients through aging and caregiving, marital struggles, adapting to physical disabilities or pain, and navigating the profound challenges of Hospice and end-of-life care.

My commitment to nurturing meaningful connections stems from my own life—I’ve been married for over 30 years and raised two wonderful boys. When I’m not working, you can usually find me traveling with my family or exploring the great outdoors.

Ashlee Davis, LPC

People thrive when they find the right environment, have support, and when they find their passion. Personally, my passion is mental health! In my sessions, I work on empowering clients through their own choices, no matter what circumstances they face. I specialize in treating severe mental illness and addiction because, even in the worst cases, these things should not keep us from our passion and/or a fulfilling life. Instead, I focus walking step-by-step, alongside clients, as they self-evaluate and figure out their next best choice.

My experience has led me to work in many settings. Since 2013, I have worked in acute care hospitalization, residential treatment, and school-based environments. I have also provided both outpatient mental health and substance abuse services.

Sandra Worlow, LCSW

As a LCSW, I worked in mental health for over 30 years as both a clinician and an administrator after graduating with my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville in 1994. I love direct clinical practice and providing clients with assistance on their journey to wellness and happiness. Having experienced several life transitions throughout the years, I love helping to guide others through that process as well. I enjoy working with adult clients in both individual and adult therapies and have experience working with the LBGTQIA+ community.

My own experience with counseling began when I was experiencing a traumatic life transition in my late 20’s. A wonderful counselor named Judy helped me realize how the impact of growing up in an alcoholic family had shaped me and my thought process and decision making. She also assisted me in realizing my own self-worth. My two-year journey with Judy was followed by my application to graduate school to become a master’s prepared social worker. My desire has always been to provide others with the same gift she had given to me.

Matthew Knight, LPC

Helping people find a truer path for their lives…in one way or another this has been my life work for 35 years as a therapist, educator, motivator, and author.

Along the way, I have learned much about the problems and challenges people bring into counseling, along with effective and successful therapies and strategies to address these issues. And I know the importance of the client/ therapist relationship. You will be respected, encouraged, and supported in your work for healing and a happier, truer life.

I work with adult clients on a variety of issues including grief (both death and non-death related), stress/anxiety, trauma, navigating change, core value integrity, aging challenges, anger management, maintaining sobriety, identity issues, making healthy choices, faith issues.

I have been a client myself and understand the process from both sides of the room. That said, you will have my best.

So if you are ready…..
